Wouldn't you know it?

So the doors are about to close on another wonderful summer season.

The weather had been perfect for 13 weeks, the house has been filled with interesting folk from around the globe.

It's time to rejig the house - call in the carpenter to replace some skirting boards, then the painters and finally the carpet cleaners.

Getting our suitcases packed to do a month in Europe and I have picked up a bug from some darling guest I hugged goodbye! Bother. Still with all the poeple I have hugged over the last 8 years it's a wonder I have stayed so healthy....

We have had so many honeymooners this Autumn, especially from Spain. Such fun communicating with the youth of the world.

What's not to love about honeymooners? They are such a joy to have with us. Glowing with happiness and love. Got another couple arriving from Spain tomorrow. Hope they have pictures of their big day.

The Lions Rugby team are in New Zealand. It's a team made up of the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. They played here in Rotorua last Saturday and the whole town was in celebratory mode, even though we lost. More on the rugby and from me later.

Off to the airport to collect family.
